Edison Litho Adds 40" KBA to Supplement Three Large-Format Sheetfeds
NORTH BERGEN, NJ—Oct. 26, 2012—While Edison Litho has built its 50-year reputation as a leader in large-format printing, its impressive pressroom features a full range of equipment capable of handling virtually any job on-site at competitive prices.
The company has recently introduced a new 41" KBA Rapida 105 six-color, UV-equipped sheetfed press to its 80,000-sq.ft. facility just outside of New York City. It will share the workload with two 81" KBA Rapida 205 presses and a 64" KBA Rapida 162 press.
According to Edison Litho COO Joseph Ostreicher, the new machine is expected to help the company meet a growing demand for smaller run brochures, newsletters, postcards and other projects. The press is expected to offer the superior substrate flexibility, UV coating and excellent print quality that this G7- and GMI-certified printer’s clients have come to expect.
“An added benefit of becoming an all-KBA shop is the added flexibility it gives us,” notes Ostreicher. “We can get accurate color matching no matter which press we go on, which adds up to faster turnaround and more savings for our clients.
