Edison Litho Wins 'Best in Show Booth Award' at GlobalShop 2015 for 1950s Display
NORTH BERGEN, N.J.—June 1, 2015—Edison Litho, based here, was the proud recipient of the International Interior Design Association’s "Best in Show Booth Award" at the 2015 GlobalShop trade show. GlobalShop is the world’s largest annual marketing trade show, where all elements of retail display are brought together at one giant conference, to allow companies to network, connect and grow. This year’s three-day conference was held in Las Vegas, and over 700 companies came together to exhibit.
Edison Litho’s display, a full-scale, attention-demanding 1950’s style diner, played tribute to the company’s start in 1958. Visitors were able to step into another era, and a whole other dimension of printing capabilities, blending the advantages of Edison’s seniority in the industry with its innovative approach to design.
The interactive booth encouraged curious visitors to see first-hand what the company has to offer. Visitors were welcomed by a towering Drive-in sign, with custom neon signage and flashing lights, and were made to feel at home by the presence of a casually placed bicycle—its spokes cut to demonstrate Edison’s diecut precision and expertise. At the red-stooled bar—backed by a 40x16-foot photo backdrop—menus delineated all the services Edison provides. A vintage jukebox entertained with music and housed records which served as a representation of the different substrates on which Edison can print.
Though the display itself was memorable, Edison wanted to give visitors a memento to take home: A life-size image of 1950’s paparazzi beckoned people over to use fun props and costumes for a memorable photo shoot.
The display was designed in conjunction with Bottom Line Marketing Group and built by Peggy Sacino, Marcello Velazquez and Shelly Tocci of Grand Displays. Seeing the display come to fruition and winning best in show was a proud moment for all; Edison Litho COO Joseph Ostreicher stated that, "events like these make us reflect on the past, look for inspiration for the future and feel grateful for those we work together with to make great things happen." Indeed, in a forum where most companies strove to present a modern image, Edison Litho was proud to celebrate its past, combining experience with innovation to meet and exceed the expectations of its clientele. Edison Litho looks forward to continuing to serve its clients for all of their printing needs.
