The adoption of JDF/CIP4 in the finishing arena was just as pronounced, as illustrated by all of the new CIP4/JDF-compliant finishing equipment that was shown. And, with the growing popularity of digital printing, finishing systems suited for small quantities permeated. Perhaps most impressive was the new Muller Martini SigmaLine, a book-on-demand solution that combines rollfed digital printing, in-line trimming, and integrated adhesive or saddlestitch binding options.
