eDOC Communications Boosts Productivity with New Kodak NexPress SX3900 Digital Press
MT. PROSPECT, IL—March 11, 2014—In an effort to dramatically increase its digital printing productivity, eDOC Communications, based here, has acquired a new five-color Kodak NexPress SX3900 digital production color press. Adding this press to its current lineup of Kodak and Canon Océ digital printers, eDOC will realize between a 40 percent to 50 percent increase in productivity when compared to its previous digital technology lineup.
In addition, eDOC has added a Baum sheet feeder, enabling the NexPress to deliver a 14x36" sheet—the only NexPress digital printer in the greater Chicago area with this capability.
"This acquisition is another important step in eDOC’s commitment to current digital/variable data technology with the 36" sheet feeder providing us with a distinct advantage over our competition," said Michael Frank, president of eDOC Communications. "By replacing our SX2100 with a second SX3900, our improved digital arsenal will result in dramatically higher productivity fire power, lower production cost to our clientele and significant quality improvements."
