FREMONT, Calif. — April 20, 2016 — Electronics For Imaging (Nasdaq:EFII) has announced the upcoming major release of the EFI Midmarket Print Suite, version 4.0, which will be presented for the first time at the ISA International Sign Expo (April 21-23, Orlando). In addition to numerous improvements for better, faster and more accurate data collection, communication and analysis, the software also includes new features specifically designed to meet the needs of display graphics/superwide-format print providers.
Highly Automated Data Capabilities
With the new suite edition, production floor personnel can benefit from workflows that reduce touches in print operations, with greater automation for setting device capabilities, scheduling and managing capacity. Managers can similarly benefit from new, segment-specific data and analysis tools not available before to track, measure and enhance their businesses’ overall profitability.
The software also includes tools to facilitate better communication between sales teams and production staff. For Midmarket Print Suite user Dustin MacMillan of Edmonton, Canada-based Cowan Imaging Group, those improvements create significant benefits.
“The software’s Sales User Interface is a game changer in how sales inputs information to our plant,” according to MacMillian. “Having the ability to easily give our production plant details with logic-driven question sets will change our everyday business.”
Jeff White, GM, small and medium business products, EFI Productivity Software, notes, “EFI continues to outpace the industry in terms of investment and development of advanced, integrated print MIS workflows, and now we are bringing the proven, best-in-class technologies used worldwide in other vertical market segments to signage and display graphics." He continues, “Framed around EFI Pace print MIS software, Midmarket Suite 4.0 addresses specialized needs in ways that display graphics companies and other print businesses can use to boost their productivity and their margins.”
The new suite edition includes a full range of technologies to handle Web-to-print, cross-media marketing, estimating, scheduling, accounting, fulfillment and more. Enhancements include tools for easier access to quotes, improved estimating, and more-advanced characteristics filtering tools to drive efficiency in job estimating and production. In addition, the suite addresses product-specific applications unique to the superwide-format print space, such as fleet and vehicle wraps, point-of-purchase (POP) signage and outdoor graphics. The enhanced capabilities in Midmarket Suite 4.0 also integrate with EFI Fiery digital front end systems for wide- and superwide-format production.
Integrated Functionality for Complex Signage Production Environments
The upcoming Midmarket Suite edition specifically addresses the needs of superwide-format printing production workflows. It includes a full request for quote dashboard for quick and easy management. The suite also features data tags for better filtering of results with specific signage characteristics related to substrate types and other factors, such as indoor or outdoor usage. A multiple object import tool simplifies campaign management tasks such as recurring POP orders that may vary in size and content across multiple locations of a chain store.
The newest-version workflow software announced today is one of multiple Productivity Suites available from EFI, the leading provider of print MIS/ERP, Web-to-print and digital production print workflow products. Printing and packaging professionals across the globe rely on EFI’s portfolio of workflow products to manage their businesses and become more streamlined, efficient, informed and profitable.
