EFI Connect Users’ Conference Sees Registrations Spike
FOSTER CITY, CA—April 9, 2010—EFI (Nasdaq: EFII), a leader in customer-focused digital printing innovation, is set to welcome customers and partners to the 11th annual Connect users’ conference from April 18-21 at the Wynn Las Vegas. Registrations for this year's event are said to represent close to a 50 percent increase from 2009.
Connect provides a forum for business leaders from around the globe to participate in educational sessions, receive hands-on experience with new EFI products, discuss industry trends, network with peers, voice their opinions and learn from others at expanded user group meetings.
“Connect has always been known as a hub for open dialogue and idea-exchange, and this year will be no exception, with the full portfolio of EFI products and solutions showcased to give customers an up close look at ways to build upon their existing investments to gain more competitive advantage,” said Frank Mallozzi, senior vice president of worldwide sales and marketing, EFI. “To add to the excitement we will be holding the first-ever live auction with over 20 items up for bid, ranging from software add-ons and packages, including a full Pace print MIS, to consulting and training opportunities.”
This year’s conference boasts longer and more in-depth educational sessions and additional user group meetings based on the needs and experience of individual attendees. More than 120 break-out sessions will cover “best practices,” discussions and valuable training on EFI Monarch (Hagen™), Pace™, PrintSmith™, Logic™, PSI™, PrintFlow®, Auto-Count® and Digital StoreFront®. Aside from EFI’s print MIS offerings, proofing (Colorproof™ XF, Fiery® XF and Web Control Center), Fiery server, Fiery Central, MicroPress®, VUTEk®, Rastek™ and Jetrion® solutions will also be featured in product demonstrations and educational sessions throughout the conference.
Connect 2010 will have two keynote speakers, Robert C. Tapella, the nation’s 25th Public Printer and Chief Executive Officer of the U.S. Government Printing Office, and Joan B. Davidson, Group President of Sheridan Publications Services at The Sheridan Group. Tapella will speak on Sunday evening, April 18, about transforming the U.S. Government Printing Office into a digital 21st century publishing and information dissemination authority. On Tuesday morning, April 20, Davidson will provide insightful commentary about opportunities to change one’s business to meet today’s challenges.
