GHENT, Belgium—August 21, 2015—Enfocus announced that its automation solution, Switch, will be upgraded to version 13 in time for GRAPH EXPO. Switch will take its place beside Enfocus PitStop Pro 13, PitStop Server 13 and Connect 13, which have all been upgraded to include numerous new features. GRAPH EXPO 15 is scheduled to take place in Chicago, Sept.13-16, 2015.
Switch 13 builds on the first Web browser-based interface, tighter control of flowcreation, easier flow visualization and significant speed improvements. Not to forget the compatibility with the new Windows 10 operating system.
Expanded details regarding Switch 13 will be available at time of release, currently scheduled for the end of August.
New Enfocus PitStop Pro 13
The release of PitStop 13 gives printers even more features they need to take control of the production process.
New features in PitStop 13, Pro and Server, give printers the PDF quality they need for smooth, efficient production. Users report that the features included in this release solve their most problematic PDF quality challenges, such as missing bleeds. The ability of limiting the quality check or the fixes to certain parts of a file makes the process more accurate and specific.
Available as a subscription or a license model, PitStop 13 Pro provides, as one user described it, "more production, more efficiency, and easier communication."
New Enfocus PitStop Server 13
PitStop Server 13, the stand-alone, hot-folder based application that automates PDF Preflight and fixing, now offers new features including the following:
- Automatically add bleed to PDF files.
- Messages can be customized to reflect non-technical language, including suggestions for corrections, if necessary.
- Creation and editing of Action Lists no longer requires PitStop Pro. Users can now create and edit Action Lists directly within the PitStop Server interface.
New Enfocus Connect 13
Enfocus Connect answers the need for better document and metadata exchange between graphic design and premedia, production and print.
Connect was developed because:
- Preparing files for print can be a hassle.
- File delivery methods can be confusing.
- Consistency and quality of jobs saves production time.
- It's become the responsibility of the printer to "make it work".
Connect addresses these issues by focusing on ease of use for designers, and control for print service providers.
HP Indigo EPM Preflight Solution
GRAPH EXPO attendees can also see the innovative HP Indigo EPM Preflight Solution for automated EPM Management, from Enfocus, which will be demonstrated at both the HP and Enfocus booths throughout the show.
The HP Indigo EPM Preflight Solution combines Enfocus Switch, Enfocus PitStop and the HP Indigo EPM Kit. The solution automatically preflights print ready PDFs and routes them to EPM and non-EPM specific hot folders based on a set of rules.
Benefits:
- Automatically sort files for printing in HP Indigo EPM mode.
- Optimize manufacturing processes by reducing touch points.
- Save time, reduce costs and increase profit.
