MIDLOTHIAN, Texas — October 5, 2016 — Ennis Inc. has announced the realignment of its operational management team to drive continuous improvement and better position the company for future growth. Three of the top general managers, all of whom have multiple facility responsibilities, have been promoted to business unit director and have relocated to the corporate offices in Midlothian, Texas. Ennis Inc.’s manufacturing facilities will be divided amongst Wade Brewer, Steve Reifel and Kevin Johnston to oversee all plant operational needs. The respective general managers will report directly to the appropriate business unit director.
Backgrounds of the New Business Unit Directors
Wade Brewer has been in the print industry for 32 years, with more than four of those being with Ennis Inc. He previously was the general manager of PrintXcel in Clarksville, Tenn., Mutual Graphics in Knoxville, Tenn., and Printegra in Fairport, N.Y. In his new role he will manage 16 of the 55 facilities that Ennis Inc. currently operates, including all of the Printegra and PrintXcel facilities. Prior to joining Ennis Inc., Brewer held positions at Cenveo as vice president of operations, and Transkrit as senior product manager. Brewer played a role in pioneering the self-mailer (snap pack) market with form and equipment designs.
Steve Reifel has been with Ennis Inc. for 17 years. His entire career in the print industry has been spent working at Ennis Inc., and in those 17 years he has managed eight of its 55 facilities. Prior to joining Ennis Inc., he worked within the mobile home industry setting up manufacturing work centers. During his time with Ennis Inc., Reifel has had the opportunity to take several underperforming plants and turn them into top-performing facilities.
Kevin Johnston has 35 years of experience in the print industry, seven of those being with Ennis Inc. Johnston joined Ennis Inc. as the general manager of the Chatham, Va. facility. He had previously managed the PrintXcel facility in Toledo, Ohio, during his tenure with Cenveo. During his seven years, Johnston has managed 12 of Ennis Inc.’s manufacturing facilities. He brings with him great insight into the various types of print products. Johnston has succeeded in turning five underperforming Ennis facilities to top-performing.
