Ennis Makes Two Acquisitions
SAN ANTONIO—DeSoto, TX-based Ennis Business Forms, beginning to show the benefits of its recent reorganization, has returned to making acquisitions.
Ennis has entered into an agreement to purchase the assets and business of American Forms, a business forms manufacturer that is based here. In its most recent fiscal year, American had sales of approximately $4.5 million.
According to Keith S. Walters, chairman and CEO, this acquisition complements Ennis' market presence in the San Antonio metro market, and it is expected to enhance American Forms' ability to serve its existing customer base.
In addition to the American Forms purchase, Ennis also announced the acquisition of the assets of Adams McClure, a point-of-purchase display enterprise headquartered in Denver. Adams McClure provides a full range of services, from creative design and printing to fulfillment for point-of-purchase buyers. The company has a diverse clientele that specializes in promoting consumer products with temporary, point-of-purchase advertising.
Adams McClure has been in existence for five years and has grown sales to a current run rate approaching $30 million in 1999.
Walters notes: "We are pleased that the current management of Adams McClure will continue to operate this rapidly growing business. In the future, new product offerings will be made available to both Ennis and Adams McClure customers."
Ennis Business Forms has 16 production facilities in 11 states.
