Envelopes.com Celebrates Its 43rd Year in Business, Looks Ahead to the Future
AMITYVILE, NY—July 1, 2014—Envelopes.com is celebrating an exciting moment in company history—its 43rd birthday! From humble beginnings to becoming a leading internet-based business, Envelopes.com has certainly seen its share of ups and downs.
The year was 1971 when a young Ken Newman began an envelope printing company he called Action Envelope. The Queens, NY-based company started out with a clientele of 100. Upon the sudden passing of Ken in 1993, wife, Sharon Newman took over the business with the hopes of one day passing it along to her son, Seth Newman. She succeeded and in 1998 Seth joined the family business and shifted the company’s focus towards the next big thing—the internet.
The advent of e-commerce opened new doors for the once, small-time printing company. After Website updates and a sleek name change Action Envelope became Envelopes.com. Today, Envelopes.com services thousands of customers daily and proudly stocks the largest selection of sizes, styles, and colors of envelopes and paper products.
Envelopes.com has been recognized as the No. 1 envelope company on the internet, a Top 1000 Internet Retailers and Inc. 5000 fastest growing company for many years.
“I could not be more proud of all the hard work put forth to make this company what it has become today, or more excited to see what the future holds,” stated Seth Newman, president of Envelopes.com commenting on the Birthday celebration.
Today, the Newmans are sharing the celebration with over 70 of their well-trained employees who are undoubtedly looking forward to many more milestones with the company’s bright future.
