Epple Printing Inks Inc., the U.S. division of one of Europe’s most respected ink manufacturers, Epple Druckfarben AG, in Augsburg, Germany, is promoting its premium quality offset printing inks to a broader North American market.
This is thanks to distribution partner, Grafsolve’s, new dealer agreement to sell and service CRON CTPs and Blackwood litho plates within the U.S. and Canada.Grafsolve LLC just announced its new agreement with CRON in recent weeks simultaneous with its launch of CRON North America as a division of the North Chicago, IL, print/prepress supplies distribution and manufacturing company.
Epple, which established its dealer relationship with Grafsolve last spring to distribute the ink maker’s products exclusively in Illinois, and competitively throughout the balance of North America, sees tremendous complementary potential for introducing its complete line of inks to new and potential CRON CTP users.
“Grafsolve’s market coverage for CRON mirrors Epple’s target audience of sheetfed printers,” said Benjamin Bornfleth, president of Epple Printing Inks, located in the Chicago metro area community of Lombard, IL. “Printers called upon and served by Grafsolve are quality, progressive operations. Epple’s connection to these printers through Grafsolve’s representation of highly respected CRON technology is an ideal environment and opportunity for printers to learn more about our leading edge, exhaustively tested and approved LED inks,” Bornfleth added.
Epple Printing Inks established its US presence in late 2018 opening offices and warehouse facilities not far from Grafsolve and CRON North America’s headquarters. Epple’s building and campus accommodates its US sales, technical and administrative staff and houses a complete inventory of its ink products with an on-site mixing complex that affords on-demand custom ink coloration and blending. “Our inks are known for their stable handling qualities, runnability on press and their production consistency. We believe projects printed with Epple inks achieve markedly higher quality reproduction and color fidelity than with most other ink products,” Bornfleth said.
The new Epple team of ink experts at its US headquarters is enthusiastic about the future in North America and see an abundance of opportunity for expanding their reach among new customers and building on the company’s almost 150-year legacy. Through Grafsolve and CRON North America, whose nationwide dealer network’s access to Epple inks multiplies its visibility, business should flow even more smoothly for the venerable ink maker and its US division.
Epple Printing Inks’ parent company was founded in 1870 with the Epple family assuming ownership circa 1914. Epple Druckfarben, today, has offices and facilities around the globe and prides itself on its world-class laboratory/ink analysis complex combined with substantial printing knowhow which has been honed over generations of on-press experience.
