Eric Frank of KBA to Head Paperboard Packaging Council Membership Committees
SPRINGFIELD, Mass.—June 2, 2015—The Paperboard Packaging Council (PPC) recently appointed Eric Frank, vice president of marketing for KBA North America, as the chair of its Associate Member Committee and the co-chair of its Membership Committee.
A longstanding member in PPC, Frank teaches printing at PPC’s bi-annual Folding Carton Boot Camp and is an active participant in PPC’s supplier tabletop program, as well as the Associate Member Film Festival. Prior to his tenure with KBA North America, Frank served as the vice president of another major press manufacturer.
"I’m pleased that Eric Frank will head up the efforts of PPC’s Membership and Associate Member Committees," said Ben Markens, president of PPC. "With his charisma and industry expertise, I’m confident that our upcoming member recruitment and retention initiatives will bear much fruit."
The Membership Committee serves to expand PPC membership by developing both converter and supplier prospects and improving marketing materials. The Associate Member Committee plans and executes initiatives that provide value to associates, and also serves as the supplier voice at PPC events and meetings.
"Throughout the years, KBA has found great value in PPC membership," noted Frank. "In my new committee roles, I’m looking forward to helping other companies find that same value as well as growing the association as a whole."
Under Frank’s leadership, PPC hopes to continue its recent surge in new membership. Since the beginning of 2015, PPC has welcomed 12 new members, including converters Master Packaging, MinMor Industries, Preferred Printing & Packaging, Rondo-Pak, Sandusky Packaging and Vogel Carton, as well as suppliers Cellmark Inc., CSi Industries, Automation, HB Fuller, Manroland Sheetfed, Tamarak Products and Valco Melton.
