Replacement Named for Maruggi at HP’s Inkjet High-Speed Production Solutions Div.
PALO ALTO, CA—March 30, 2015—HP has announced an executive leadership change within its Inkjet High-Speed Production Solutions (IHPS) division. After eight years as vice president and general manager of the IHPS division, Aurelio Maruggi has accepted a promotion and will be vice president and general manager of HP’s new Office and Versatility division, encompassing the entire scope of HP’s office and home inkjet business, including HP’s Page Wide technology.
As Maruggi moves forward, the time is right for new leadership in IHPS. In April 2015, Eric Wiesner will assume the role of IHPS vice president and general manager.
Wiesner started with HP in 1984 in the San Francisco Bay area. In various R&D and manufacturing management roles, Wiesner brought multiple inkjet products to market in the Office, Large-format Graphics and Web Press spaces. As director of R&D for Media Supplies and Solutions, his team developed media coatings and vertical software solutions for HP Wall Art, Greeting and Gift Cards, and Ink Content Value Packs. Wiesner later became director of R&D for Printing & Technology Platforms, focused on developing ink chemistry, materials, and software solutions for Printing and Personal Systems’ 2D and 3D printing business units.
Through Wiesner's HP technological and business experience and his vision for HP thermal inkjet technology, the management team is more confident than ever in the future of its business and its customers’ success.
