FASTSIGNS Offers IDEAlliance G7 Certification Training to Franchise Partners
CARROLLTON, TX—April 30, 2015—Catering to the business community’s need for consistent and recognizable company branding, FASTSIGNS International recently hosted G7 Certification training at the company’s headquarters in Carrolton, TX, for FASTSIGNS franchisees and team members to potentially become G7 Experts.
The G7 Certification, operated globally by the not-for-profit trade association IDEAlliance, is an internationally recognized methodology by which print shops calibrate gray balance to achieve a neutral gray, ensuring that all other colors will appear accurate to the human eye. The certification is becoming increasingly popular as more businesses seek certified providers to guarantee consistent imagery in their marketing collateral.
"With G7 Certification, our centers will be able to obtain a neutral gray balance resulting in a common visual appearance across all devices with predictable results," said Brian Boehm, director of technology and supply chain at FASTSIGNS International and a certified G7 Expert. "This allows us to become more accurate as a visual communications provider and help our customers keep their branding more consistent across different channels."
FASTSIGNS recently launched a program for the G7 Experts certification to train franchisees in the fields of color management, process and quality control for proofing and printing. Those with G7 Expert certification are qualified to perform the G7 Master Qualification, which is granted to print facilities proven capable of performing the G7 methodology on printers, presses or proofing systems.
"FASTSIGNS clearly understands that maintaining consistent print quality requires state-of-the-art tools and a deep understanding of the latest industry standards and best practices," said Steve Bonoff, executive vice president of IDEAlliance. "The company is not only utilizing the expertise of outside consultants, but they’re making the investment to gain G7 Experts on staff. We applaud their commitment to education and support of the IDEAlliance G7 methodology for managing print quality."
