FASTSIGNS Is Ranked as a 'Best for Vets' Franchise Choice by Military Times
CARROLLTON, Texas—September 24, 2015—FASTSIGNS International has been named a top franchise choice for U.S. veterans in Military Times magazine’s annual “Best for Vets: Franchises” list for 2016, ranking No. 15.
The “Best for Vets: Franchises” list is the result of a highly respected, more-than-100-question analysis of a franchise’s efforts to provide veterans an environment for success. When conducting and scoring the survey, the publication focused on financial incentives, brand performance and policies that cater to veterans and reservists.
“Our nation’s heroes make outstanding franchisees,” FASTSIGNS International Executive Vice President of Franchise Support and Development Mark Jameson said. “We want to make sure our veterans have every opportunity when it comes to business opportunities in franchising. That’s why FASTSIGNS is committed to offering aggressive financial support and resources that will help them every step of the way. Within our U.S. franchise network more than 12 percent are veterans, using the strong leadership and execution skills they developed during their service and successfully implementing them into their FASTSIGNS business.”
USA Today, G.I. Jobs magazine and Franchise Business Review have also recognized FASTSIGNS in the past year as one of the top franchises in the nation for military veterans. The global franchise is part of the International Franchise Association’s (IFA) VetFran program that provides military veterans with special incentives and assistance to open a franchise. All veterans who choose to become FASTSIGNS franchise partners can take advantage of specific incentives, including a 50 percent reduced franchise fee of $18,750 and reduced royalties for the first 12 months. FASTSIGNS is the only franchise in its industry to offer a 50 percent discount to any veteran, without stipulations. Additionally, with more than 400 markets available, veterans have the opportunity to open a FASTSIGNS center in their ideal market.
Doug Graham is one example of a military veteran and franchisee who has benefitted from FASTSIGNS’ support. Graham served in the Colorado Air National Guard and opened his FASTSIGNS center in 2013. He said, “After retiring from the Air Force, I began looking into franchising. Early on, I realized that FASTSIGNS fit perfectly into what my idea of a company should be. Much like the military in the support and family type atmosphere and attitudes, I found that the ‘we’re in this together’ feeling that is portrayed throughout the organization appealed to my sense of purpose. FASTSIGNS provides plenty of backup help and training and they remain in contact with me on an ongoing basis.”
