FedEx Dropping Kinko’s From Name

MEMPHIS, TN—FedEx Corp. will change the name of FedEx Kinko’s, its document solutions and business services arm, to FedEx Office. Company officials feel the new name more accurately describes the wide range of services available at its retail centers. FedEx will record a charge of roughly $891 million in its fiscal fourth quarter, which ended May 31. This charge relates mostly to one-time, non-cash impairment charges associated with the decision about the use of the Kinko’s trade name and goodwill resulting from the Kinko’s acquisition.
