Finch Paper Announces Four Strategic Additions to its Sales Team
GLENS FALLS, NY—November 18, 2013—Finch Paper, producer of uncoated papers including flagship Finch Opaque and Finch Fine, today announces the addition of four business development managers.
Clive Gillanders joins Finch Paper as national sales director, national accounts, bringing with him more than 18 years of experience in business development, sales, marketing and product management. Prior to joining Finch, Gillanders was sales manager, North America for Brazilian paper manufacturer Suzano. Before that, he was sales and product manager at Elof Hanson and North American Sales Manager for Tullis Russell Papermakers. Gillanders is a graduate of Heriot Watt University in Scotland, where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Quality Management.
Gary Dow joins the company as a business development manager. In a career spanning 27 years, Dow has represented paper, print production and distribution channels, most recently serving as associate director of Marketing & Enterprise Services for Bristol-Myers Squibb. He has also held sales positions with Domtar, Fox River, and L.P. Thebault.
James Bird also joins the company as a business development manager. Bird has more than 20 years experience in paper and paper product sales, most recently as a sales representative with National Envelope, where he was responsible for merchants and end user accounts. Bird has also held sales positions with Boise, Appleton, and Avery Dennison.
Lastly, Zachary Small joins the Finch team as Canadian account manager. Mr. Small was formerly a Canadian sales representative and account manager for National Envelope, and prior to that served as an account manager for Canada’s largest envelope manufacturer, SupremeX Inc. Small is a graduate of Toronto’s Seneca College where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
According to Finch’s vice president of sales and marketing Greg Maio, “These four highly talented individuals bring a wealth of experience and industry knowledge to the Finch family. They will be instrumental in introducing Finch’s expanding portfolio of high-bright, uncoated papers to printers and corporations across the North American market.”
The sales hires come at a dynamic time for the company, which continues to add top talent to its sales team in order to grow its share in the high-bright opaque, text and cover and digital paper markets. In September, Greg Maio was announced as the company’s new Vice President of Sales & Marketing. Other recent hires include Cathy Collins (New England), Kristen Fillion (West), and Bob Elliott (Southeast).
