Fire at Quad/Graphics Facility in Atglen, PA, Causes Temporary Shutdown and Evacuation

ATGLEN, PA—November 12, 2014—A mid-morning fire at the Quad/Graphics facility here at the 4000 block of Lower Valley Road, was reported yesterday. Production was halted as employees were evacuated from the building. There were no reports of injuries, according to the Daily Local News.

Peter Mango, firefighter and public information officer for the Keystone Valley Fire Department, told the newspaper that the fire was reported at about 10 a.m.

According to the Daily Local News, several firefighting crews arrived at the scene and assisted plant personnel from removing paper products from a press, and extinguishing "hot spots." Crews also went in with ventilation, and all units returned to service by 11:31 a.m.
