Flint Announces Price Increases on Heatset Web Inks
PLYMOUTH, MI—May 18, 2011—Flint Group North America has announced a 10 percent price increase on heatset web offset printing inks used in commercial and publication markets. New prices will take effect on all heatset process inks, blends and OPVs ordered in the United States and Canada on or after June 1, 2011, subject to existing contracts.
“Since January, costs have continued to increase substantially for all the major raw materials used in heatset inks,” notes Michael Podd, business director, Heatset Inks, Flint Group. “Driving these costs are supply constraints for pigments, resins and additives. Based on our ongoing tracking of global raw material trends, we do not expect to see improvements in the near term.”
