Flint Group Launches New Ultra-Low VOC Varn Ecolo-Wash for Heatset, Coldset Web Printers

PLYMOUTH, MI—June 17, 2014—Flint Group North America has just launched Varn Ecolo-Wash 401—an ultra-low VOC press wash designed without aromatic or halogen-based solvents for heatset and coldset web printers.

With less than 100 g/liter VOCs, Varn Ecolo-Wash 401 complies with even the strictest environmental standards. It also limits waste by offering strong performance and lowers usage amounts compared to most products on the market.

Varn Ecolo-Wash 401 deep-cleans blankets and rollers, leaves less residue, and can be used with manual and automatic blanket wash systems. Michael Kellen, Flint Group’s business director of pressroom chemicals, noted: “Our customers want an environmentally friendly press wash that provides a very thorough clean and maximizes ink transfer.
