Flint Group Sets Price Increase on Heatset, Directory Inks
PLYMOUTH, MI—June 11, 2010—Ongoing raw material trends, including supply shortages, have pushed up the price of pigments, resins and other intermediates used in the manufacture of heatset and directory inks in North America. As a result, Flint Group has announced price increases on those products sold in the United States and Canada.
Prices will increase by 6% on inks and overprint varnishes, effective July 1, 2010, subject to existing contracts.
“Flint Group works very hard to shield customers from the impact of raw material trends,” notes Michael Podd, Business Director of Heatset Inks North America, “but the recent level of activity makes it impossible for us to absorb the effects completely.”
