FLM’s Trucolor Adds New HP Scitex Industrial Printer
FAIRFIELD, NJ—Sept. 24, 2012—Trucolor, the large format and sign imaging division of FLM Graphics, has added an HP Scitex LX850 industrial printing system to its extensive range of large format imaging capabilities.
According to Peter Desbets, president of FLM’s Trucolor division, “This recent installation builds on FLM Trucolor’s position in the growing large-format print market and further strengthens the company’s ability to deliver an extensive line of products and services across the full spectrum of applications for both indoor and outdoor display graphics and signage.”
“FLM Trucolor's acquisition of the new HP LX850 reinforces our long-term business strategy to provide our customers with the latest technology and advanced print solutions for their marketing communications needs,” added Desbets in making the announcement. “Latex technology in the large format medium is the next logical step in being able to provide not only superior color output, but also combine latex-based eco-friendly inks with eco-friendly substrates.”
"The LX850 not only increases our production capabilities in Trucolor," said FLM Graphics group president Frank M. Misischia. "It also advances our corporate goal to produce prints in as environmentally friendly a manner as possible, supporting our 'smart green' business strategy." For projects that are intended for sensitive indoor environments, such as a classroom or museum, this new technology utilizes water-based latex inks that eliminate the odor associated with more traditional solvent-based inks.
Desbets explained that “the new industrial printing system will enhance FLM Trucolor’s versatility and productivity for the complete range of services it provides for its customers.” He noted that vehicle graphics, window film signage, building wraps, indoor and outdoor banners, retractable signs, and fabric printing are just a few of the versatile applications that FLM’s Trucolor division specializes in.
