Trish Witkowski of Foldfactory has partnered with the online printer Smartpress.com to bring to market a line of Designer Folds for marketing collateral, advertising, and events. The groundbreaking line brings specialty print formats to the mainstream and features a wide array of styles—from Stepped Accordions to Cross Folds, and from Sleeve Mailers to Twist Folds. The initial offering includes 30 creative folds to choose from, designed with every occasion and every budget in mind.
“Smartpress customers are looking for specialty options and design inspiration for creating brilliant print,” says Matt Chapman, VP of Smartpress. “Our collaboration with Foldfactory allows us to expand our product offerings into some of the most unique and fun designs available for print. We are pleased to offer Designer Folds to our customers through our partnership with Foldfactory.”
Customers can go to Smartpress to view inspired real-world designs, download free production templates, and generate instant pricing. They can upload their designs, and the team at Smartpress will print, fold and ship in order quantities as low as 100 pieces.
“This is my dream collaboration,” says Witkowski. “My goal has always been to make specialty formats easier to visualize and design, faster to produce, and more affordable for creative marketers. We’ve put together a proven line of designer products that will make it a lot easier to try something new without the technical challenges, extended timelines, and risk.” There’s a lot to explore—visit Smartpress.com to view the entire 30-product Designer Folds line.
Foldfactory.com is all new, too
The launch of the Designer Folds line at Smartpress logically led to the discontinuation of the print store at Foldfactory.com, which became the perfect opportunity for Witkowski to change the direction and purpose of her mission. “The partnership was a great excuse to start fresh. I’m now able to refocus on what I do best—writing, research, videos and events. I’m really enjoying the change, and I’m bringing everyone along on the journey.”
New features on the Foldfactory website include a growing and detailed search functionality of the “Fold of the Week” video database, free downloads of unique specialty dielines, and a new blog. Additional tools and features are planned throughout 2021. Visit Foldfactory.com to explore the new site. There are nearly 50 new videos up at the Foldfactory YouTube channel as well.
