Freedom, a leading provider of direct marketing materials, announced the Restricted Enterprise Data (RED) Environment residing at FGS-WI, LLC five (5) facilities has continued to meet Certified status for information security by HITRUST.
The initial verification was awarded to Freedom on 11/9/2022, and is valid for a period of two years assuming annual progress is being made on areas identified in the Corrective Acton Plans; no data security breach reportable to a federal or state agency by law or regulation has occurred within or affecting the assessed environment; and no significant changes in the business or security policies, practices, controls and processes have occurred that might impact its ability to continue to meet the respective HITRUST Assurance Program criteria.
HITRUST Risk-based, 2-year (r2) Certified status demonstrates that the organization’s Restricted Enterprise Data (RED) Environment residing at FGS-WI, LLC five (5) facilities has met key regulations and industry-defined requirements and is appropriately managing risk. This achievement places Freedom in an elite group of organizations worldwide that have earned this certification. By including federal and state regulations, standards, and frameworks, and incorporating a risk-based approach, the HITRUST Assurance Program helps organizations address security and data protection challenges through a comprehensive and flexible framework of prescriptive and scalable security controls.
As part of their core competencies, Freedom has been HITRUST Certified since 2017. The certification covers all facilities and departments within Freedom, from receipt of clients’ data to the printed products exiting the facilities.
HITRUST has determined that the requirements of the HITRUST v9.5.1 Risk-based, 2-year (r2) certification continue to be met by Freedom.
