Freeport Press Honored by Komori America for Makeready Proficiency

A leader in heatset web offset printing for magazines, digests and tabloids, Freeport set the record on March 17, 2011, by producing 155 individual full-­color press runs and changing 1,240 printing plates on two single-­web 16-­page presses.

“This was truly a great test of both machine and crew performance,” noted James Pilcher, Freeport’s vice president of manufacturing and general manager. “We’re really excited to be able to run equipment that is so efficient and easy to operate, and at the same time minimize waste while producing publications that exceed industry standards for quality.
