MECHANICSBURG, Pa. - September 13, 2017 - Fry Communications has won 17 Gold Ink Awards in the Annual Gold Ink Awards Competition - a new record for the company. Fry won two Gold medals, three Silver, one Bronze, and eleven Pewter awards, and received an award in every category entered.
Fry dominated the Trade Magazines, Web, category this year, taking Gold, Bronze, and all three Pewter medals awarded. The Gold winner is Surface: The Technology Issue, June/July 2016, published by Surface Media LLC, printed on a bright white uncoated sheet with a special glossy advertising section.
The other Gold Award winner is Hotels: 50 Year Anniversary Issue, September 2016, published by Marketing & Technology Group Inc., in the Magazine Covers category. This stunning French gate cover featured soft touch coating, spot gloss UV coating, and gold foil to commemorate their 50th anniversary.
Fry had strong showings in two other categories, winning four awards in Web Brochures, including a Silver medal, and four awards in Web Consumer Catalogs. The other Silver awards lauded Fry work in the Sheetfed Consumer Catalogs and Sheetfed Trade Magazines categories; and a Pewter recognized an entry in the Consumer Magazines category.
