Financial Services Grows its Business by 40 Percent with Konica Minolta Color Digital Presses
RAMSEY, NJ—May 21, 2013—Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A. (Konica Minolta) announces that Financial Services (FSI) has standardized on Konica Minolta color digital presses for transpromotional printing. The new color print capabilities have allowed FSI to expand its bank statement printing services to include highly personalized marketing advertisements. With 75 percent of its customer base now leveraging the service, the company has grown its revenues by 40 percent.
FSI, a provider of back-end processing services for the community banking industry, saw an opportunity to leverage transpromotional marketing trends to help its community banks transform transactional documents such as invoices, statements and account information into marketing tools by incorporating advertisements in the white space available on documents. Working with their local Konica Minolta dealer, Integrated Document Technologies (IDT), FSI installed six bizhub PRESS C8000s to handle over 1.5 million color impressions monthly.
“The exceptional quality and reliability of the Konica Minolta bizhub PRESS C8000 has been a competitive differentiator, helping to establish us as a leader in transpromotional marketing for financial services companies,” said Ed Van Hee, managing director and vice president of item processing at Financial Services. “By moving to all Konica Minolta print production equipment, we can work with one trusted vendor from one exceptional reseller for all our support, service and supplies needs. We look forward to expanding our production print operations with more Konica Minolta presses over the next few years.”
The bizhub PRESS C8000 provides FSI with the color quality and speeds required to meet its customers’ print demands. Having eight Konica Minolta color digital presses enables FSI to easily manage and split print jobs between multiple devices, allowing the company to work more efficiently and quickly to meet statement delivery deadlines. FSI opted for Creo Print Controllers for their bizhub PRESS C8000s to provide greater automation, operator control and for fast and powerful processing of their variable data print (VDP) jobs.
“FSI is an excellent example of how commercial printers can leverage their investments in digital color presses to expand existing service services to include multi-channel marketing trends such as transpromotional marketing,” noted Gavin Jordan-Smith, vice president, Solutions and Production Planning, Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A. “Customers can count on Konica Minolta to provide them with award-winning digital production print technology and uniquely tailored solutions designed to increase throughput, improve customer loyalty and grow revenues.”
