Fujifilm Demonstrates J Press 720 Inkjet Press at GRAPH EXPO
Initially launched at GRAPH EXPO 2010, the J Press 720 serves the fastest growing segment of the market—high-quality, short-run printing. The use of the Fujifilm Dimatix SAMBA print heads achieve true 1,200x1,200 dpi resolution with four levels of grayscale using two picoliter droplets. The J Press prints 2,700 four-up sheets per hour on standard coated and uncoated stocks with a maximum sheet size of 20.8x29.5” and sheets emerge from the press dry to the touch. The SAMBA print heads eliminate extensive consumable management, peripheral equipment and many other pressroom-related expenses. The J Press streamlines production workflow cycles, reduces labor and increases efficiencies associated with the production of targeted and customized marketing materials, book components, pocket folders and other commercial printing projects.
