Fujifilm Records Successful GRAPH EXPO 2012
VALHALLA, NY—October 15, 2012—Fujifilm North America's Graphic Systems Division demonstrated their leadership position before large crowds with live printing and demonstrations of their innovative solutions at GRAPH EXPO 2012.
“Leading the Inkjet Revolution” was the theme highlighting Fujifilm’s comprehensive offering of inkjet technology solutions for the commercial printing industry. The cornerstone of the revolution, the J Press 720 digital inkjet press, was a big draw during the show, and was also awarded a 2102 InterTech Technology Award from Printing Industries of America.
In addition to the J Press 720, Fujifilm launched the new Inca Onset S40i high-performance, high-output wide-format inkjet press. Live demonstrations showcased the amazing speed and print quality of the Onset in producing wide-format display graphics, and crowds were introduced to the capabilities of this productive press in meeting the needs for customized wide-format graphic displays and signage.
Fujifilm also demonstrated its latest wide-format inkjet printing technologies, including the Acuity Advance HS and Acuity LED, and its latest innovation with the digitally-mastered, high-definition image quality of the Xerox Color 1000 Press with clear ink. Various newspaper solutions along with workflow and software products including XMF Workflow, XMF ColorPath color management, ColorGATE production server for wide-format inkjet printing workflow, Metrix automated job planning tools, and Rampage Systems were also demonstrated.
“A large part of leading the inkjet revolution is not only the Fujifilm Inkjet Technology we are developing, but also our ability to provide the technology solution that best fits the business and production needs of our customers. We have a long standing heritage of supplying world class solutions to commercial printers and now we are forging ahead with new inkjet technology that provides them with the ability to solve problems and support their customers to expand their service offering and generate new revenue,” said Todd Zimmerman, vice president and general manager, Fujifilm North America's Graphic Systems Division.
Show Sales Highlights
Sales results from the show were highlighted by several purchases of the Fujifilm J Press 720, by customers including Overnight Prints International in Santa Ana, CA; Folder Express in Omaha, NE; and the first J Press Web purchased by Gilson Graphics in Grand Rapids, MI. Fujifilm also recorded the sale of the new Inca Onset S40i flatbed UV inkjet printer by Wetzel Brothers, a Consolidated Graphics Company based in Cudahy, WI. The Onset S40i, which was making its debut at GRAPH EXPO, will be shipped directly from the show for immediate installation.
“Fujifilm is able to support printers with solutions in every product area including plate, pressroom, workflow, software and media—we work to provide our customers with confidence in doing business from a trusted source,” explained Zimmerman. “GRAPH EXPO was such a successful event for us in showcasing these new products this year that we plan to increase our presence with an even larger display in 2013.”
Next up for Fujifilm is the annual expo of the Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) in Las Vegas, October 18-20, 2012, where the company will exhibit in booth #2015.
