ADDISON, IL—August 2007—GBC, an ACCO Brands business (NYSE: ABD) and market leader in the manufacturing and distribution of binding and laminating products, will introduce the new 6028os and 730os laminators at Graph Expo 2007 in Chicago. Broadening their offerings to the Print On-demand Market, which already include the 620os and Delta, GBC intends these new units to fill the need for feature-heavy single-sided laminating systems.
The 730os features a semi-automatic feeding system and integrated separator for continuous production by commercial printers, quick printers, copy shops, and reprographics shops. Designed for short to mid-range print runs from both digital color printers and offset presses, the 730os runs high-speed thermal OPP, PET and Nylon films. At Graph Expo, it will be shown running GBC’s Linen Embossed OPP film.
The 730os finishes book covers, packaging, and other single-sided applications like sheeted gift cards, postcards, and business cards. It runs sheets up to 30” W x 40” L at speeds up to 50 feet per minute.
GBC’s 6028os is engineered to handle mid- to high-volume commercial print runs by commercial printers, quick printers, reprographics shops, and trade laminators. With an automatic feeding system, an integrated separator, and a maximum speed of 65 feet per minute, the 6028os is designed for the production of book covers, dust jackets, and packaging, as well as sheeted gift cards, postcards, and business cards in high-production environments. Maximum sheet size is 20”W x 28”L. The system accommodates OPP, PET and Nylon films on rolls up to 6000 feet in length. At Graph Expo, the 6028os will be shown running GBC’s Digital Lay-Flat® film.
