Historically, GEW has specialized in narrow web label, and it’s because of that they’re exhibiting at The Expo at booth N743, explains Jennifer Heathcote, VP OF business development, GEW.
“We have a very strategic expansion into sheetfed offset, that is why we are here at PRINTING United, that’s the main reason we have a booth, and it’s because we are not as well known in the offset printing industry,” says Heathcote. “Our LED technology is very well suited to sheetfed offset printers. And that’s why we’re here promoting our technology.”
The LED technology Heathcote was referring to is the Leo LED, designed specifically for sheetfed interdeck applications.
In addition to affirming its stance in the offset sheetfed industry, GEW also gave attendees a better understanding of its UV curing technology and current trends that are driving the adoption of UV LED — one of which being the current energy crisis. Heathcote says that GEW even recently launched an energy savings calculator on its website to show customers how much energy they could possibly reduce.
