Ingram Content Group’s Global Connect Expands With Print Providers in China, India and Italy
NASHVILLE, Tenn.—October 14, 2015—Publishers can reach readers around the world and easily build a comprehensive global distribution strategy with Ingram Content Group’s newest Global Connect relationships in China, India and Italy through Lightning Source.
“We’ve expanded our Global Connect program to include print opportunities in China, India and Italy,” said David Taylor, senior vice president of content acquisition. “Publishers can easily and economically gain access to these and other international markets to reach more readers and realize new streams of revenue with our expanded Global Connect program.”
Ingram’s Global Connect print provider locations in China, India and Italy give publishers the ability to make content available globally through local print-on-demand and distribution facilities in those countries. Publishers can get their content closer to consumers and shorten delivery times to customers the world over.
Through Global Connect, publishers’ content has central accessibility to in-market facilities with title pricing in appropriate currencies, shipping orders and content translation.
Ingram will work with China National Publications Import & Export (Group) Corp. (CNPIEC) in China to provide publishers a trusted Chinese import and distribution connection. Publishers will have access to a new digital print facility, nationwide distribution and channel connectivity to physical bookstores, online retailers, libraries and universities in country.
In India, Ingram will work with Repro India Limited. Repro provides content, print and fulfillment solutions to publishers, education institutions and corporations. Repro provides publishers a solid distribution infrastructure, including two state-of-the art book-printing plants on India’s west coast.
Ingram will work with Rotomail in Italy to offer publishers a presence in the Italian market. Rotomail Italia is a digital printing house. Rotomail also offers hardware and software development solutions. Rotomail’s integrated platform allows for book distribution to both physical and online bookstores.
“Through Global Connect, we work with established local printers around the world to provide publishers with a trusted way to expand their global distribution strategy,” said Taylor.
All books that are manufactured by printers in the Global Connect program use the same quality control processes in place at Ingram facilities worldwide. Each Global Connect relationship adheres to strict file integrity and security procedures, and Ingram provides reporting and payment remittance.
The new facilities in China, India and Italy join existing Global Connect locations in Germany, Russia, Brazil, Poland and South Korea.
