CHICAGO—July 30th, 2007—Goss International will highlight its position as commercial web market and technology leader on booth 3041 at Graph Expo in Chicago from September 9-12. Emphasis will be on the gapless Sunday press range, new high-productivity Pacesetter 2200 and 2500 saddlestitchers and comprehensive Lifetime Support aftermarket services.
“Our presses and finishing systems continue to set the innovation standard, and we continue to augment our platforms with Automatic Transfer technology, pinless folder developments, new automation features and other breakthroughs,” explains Graham Trevett, Goss International vice president of sales for the western United States. “Graph Expo provides a great chance to update printers and discuss how we can customize gapless Sunday press systems, as well as M-500 and M-600 presses and C series insert presses for any requirement.”
Goss International will install the 2,000th Sunday press printing unit in December. The first three eight-unit Sunday presses with Automatic Transfer technology are now in full operation in the U.S., routinely completing full-color job changes without stopping. In addition, printers in North America have installed close to 30 2x8 Sunday 3000/32 presses since 2004.
Unveiled at Graph Expo 2006, the new Goss Pacesetter 2200 and 2500 saddlestitchers feature servo-driven components. Initial installations are routinely exceeding the 22,000- and 25,000-books-per-hour net productivity levels, and Goss International will announce several additional upcoming installations.
Goss Lifetime Support capabilities will also be highlighted at Graph Expo, including integrated parts, service, enhancement and training programs to maximize the productivity and competitive lifespan of Goss systems. More than 300 employees in the United States are dedicated specifically to Goss Lifetime Support programs.
“Web printers are turning to innovative technology and ideas to expand the application range for the web offset process and to create exciting business opportunities for their customers,” confirms Ed Young, Goss International vice president of sales for the eastern United States. “We look forward to demonstrating how our technology and resources put us in the best position to support them.”
