BOLINGBROOK, IL—January 6, 2009—Goss International today initiated a plan to reduce its work force in the United States. Between 200 and 250 employees based at facilities in Illinois, New Hampshire and Texas will be impacted.
“This is an essential step to bring manufacturing and support resources in the United States in line with market demands and to sustain our position as an innovative industry leader,” explains Goss International CEO Jochen Meissner. “We regret the impact this will have on our employees and are committed to carrying out the plan in the most equitable manner possible.”
Goss International supplies web offset presses, finishing systems and aftermarket services for newspaper, magazine, catalog and other commercial printing applications.
