Goss and Presstek to Showcase Latest Product Innovations, Partnership Success at Graph Expo 16
DURHAM, N.H. — September 14 2016 — Goss International and partner company, offset printing specialist and equipment manufacturer, Presstek LLC, have announced today that the companies will be co-exhibiting at Graph Expo 16 (Booth 2731, Sept. 25-28, Orlando, Fla.).
The two market leaders will present the unique advantages of both product portfolios, including the latest innovations launched at drupa 2016. The show will also provide the opportunity to demonstrate how this recent collaboration is already delivering a powerful combination of Computer-to-Plate (CTP) imaging systems, eco-friendly plates, presses, service and support for the commercial and newspaper printing markets.
"Graph Expo provides both Presstek and Goss with the ideal platform to engage with customers and prospects about our latest product developments," says Sparsh Bhargava, CEO, Presstek. "Presstek’s new CTP systems and eco-friendly plate offerings are perfectly aligned with Goss' newspaper and commercial presses, and enable customers to enhance their production speed, quality and versatility and ultimately, increase profitability and their competitive edge."
Presstek will demonstrate a range of products on the Graph Expo booth, including the Presstek 52DI ECO-UV, a four-color, high-speed digital offset waterless press with the all new integrated low energy ECO-UV curing system that delivers instantly dried traditional and non-absorptive substrates. Presstek’s new DI AutoColor will also be highlighted at the show. This new solution is a closed-loop color control system for DI presses, designed to provide highly consistent color, reduce makeready times and help minimize ink and substrate waste even further.
In addition to showcasing its latest product innovations, Goss will be on hand to provide visitors with further details about its collaboration with Presstek, as well as other strategic partnerships. Formed this year to enhance products, services and support for its valued customer base, these include Goss’ well-established partnership with Goss Contiweb and the company’s recent collaboration with web offset and service specialists, DG press ServiceS B.V. This agreement also saw the acquisition of the Goss Thallo product line into Goss’ packaging portfolio.
Goss’ continued focus on Lifetime Support services and the latest upgrades available with this program will also be central to the company’s message at Graph Expo.
"As part of our commitment to customers, Goss’ Lifetime Support program provides a robust service dedicated to press enhancements, technical assistance, customer support and training,” explains John Gallagher, director of engineering services and enhancements, Goss Americas. "To ensure this service enables our customers to operate in the most efficient, productive and reliable way, Goss continues to develop and improve upon the services and enhancements available. For example, at Graph Expo, we will have full details on the latest upgrades and enhancements for the M-600, including new solutions to replace or upgrade obsolete components, such as LTM1000 ink fountain controller boards, CPTronics components and ICLA circumferential register motors. Our team will also be on hand to explain how to upgrade existing consoles to Omnicolor and the many advantages this upgrade provides."
The Omnicolor console upgrade provides the features and benefits of the latest version of Goss’ control system, Omnicon, to owners of previous M-600 press models. With this upgrade, customers can take advantage of increased system productivity, efficiency and reduced waste.
Details of the Contiweb’s latest technology developments for digital web printing, in affiliation with HP (non-exclusive), its new Fluid Applicator (CFA) technology and ContiwebVision web break analysis system will also be available at Graph Expo.
CFA provides a breakthrough disruptive approach to the application of silicone oil and water to restore moisture to the printed web and protect against ink picking on the surface of the chill rollers. The proven results are significant cost benefits, enhanced print performance and increased productivity.
The innovative ContiwebVision web break analysis system gathers data to continuously monitor web edges, web tension and overall condition of the web. This comprehensive data enables printers to not only detect web issues immediately, but prevent problems from being repeated, enabling a more efficient and profitable production process. In the most extensive version, operators are even receiving alarm signals and practical information from the system to prevent web breaks during production.
Mohit Uberoi, CEO, Goss International, concluded, "Since Graph Expo 15, Goss and its partners have made many positive developments and seen significant success, most recently underpinned by a productive and profitable drupa 2016. Our customers in the USA confirmed numerous substantial investments at this show, including two Goss M-600 and two Sunday 2000 presses. In addition, the partnerships formed, solutions launched and the company’s increased focus on developing its Lifetime Support services has made Goss even more customer-focused and financially strong.
“At Graph Expo 16, we look forward to demonstrating our clear and continued commitment to providing dynamic, pioneering solutions that will keep our customers, partners and us at the forefront of this industry.”
