NEW YORK—June 25, 2015—Gould Paper has announced the appointments of Joseph Ryan as executive vice president, North America; and Michael Trachtenberg as executive vice president, international. In their new roles, both will continue to report to David Berkowitz, president and CEO of the corporation.
Ryan began his career with Unijax Paper in 1974. In 1986, after the acquisition of Unijax by Unisource, Ryan was promoted to numerous management positions until he was given the job of region president—Unisource Southwest. In 1999, Ryan moved to the Mead Corp. as sales director for Merchant, Broker and Export Sales. Since 2010, he has had responsibility for Gould’s Western BRW—Bosworth Paper operations in Texas and Missouri. Ryan will continue to work out of Western—BRW’s facility in Carrollton, Texas.
Trachtenberg was previously the president of Gould’s Metro Division in New York. In his new role, he will be responsible for all Price & Pierce operations in New York, Finland, Sweden, Holland, and Asia; as well as Gould UK and Gould France. Trachtenberg will be working out of the Gould UK office located in Leatherhead.
Trachtenberg joined Gould Paper in 2007 and, throughout his 28 years in the industry, has worked in various sales and senior management positions.
