CHICAGO — April 8, 2016 — GPA, the market leader in substrate solutions for offset, digital, and wide format printing, announces the promotion of Mary Ann Geers to the new position of VP of corporate strategy. In this role, Geers will serve as the driving force behind GPA’s marketing, product, research and development and technical teams, and will lead them as one cohesive force to provide maximum benefit to GPA’s customers.
“Mary Ann’s years of industry experience and proven success in serving our customers have prepared her to unify GPA’s resources in this new capacity,” remarks Bob Niesen, GPA’s president and CEO. “I look forward to the incredible accomplishments that undoubtedly lie ahead under Mary Ann’s leadership, and the advancements our customers will experience as a result.”
Geers has been actively involved in the graphic arts industry for the past 37 years, and joined GPA in 1999 as a territory sales manager and simultaneously served as specification sales representative. She has been recognized with numerous awards for her substantial contributions to GPA; she is the first person to win GPA’s Sales Professional of the Year Award twice, and was also presented with GPA’s President’s Award in two different years for her extraordinary achievements. Geers most recently served as GPA’s area VP of the central region, where she provided leadership and support to GPA’s business development managers within that territory.
“The significant growth that GPA has been experiencing called for the creation of this new position, and Mary Ann’s passion, knowledge, and history of success made her the natural choice to help GPA continue to grow, while propelling our customers to the next level,” comments David Maucieri, GPA’s senior VP of sales. “Mary Ann’s ongoing advancement reinforces GPA’s succession of hiring outstanding individuals whose meaningful contributions positively impact GPA and our customers.”
