GPA Announces Organizational Changes
MCCOOK, IL—January 15, 2014—Tom Brooker, CEO of GPA has announced the following organizational changes as part of GPA's commitment to supporting its customers through world-class substrates, service and leadership.
Tom Brooker has taken on the exclusive responsibility of CEO at GPA. Formerly both president and CEO, in his new role he will continue leadership of GPA at a strategic level with a stronger, higher-level focus on advancing GPA even further. Since he joined GPA in 2010, the company has experienced significant growth under his guidance and direction.
Bob Niesen has been promoted to the position of president of GPA, having formerly held the position of senior vice president of sales and marketing. Niesen has 23 years of broad-based experience at GPA, and his ability to develop product and service innovation that continually meets the changing needs of GPA's customers has been a critical component of the company's success. He is ready to provide the direction that will further lead GPA and the industry into the future.
David Maucieri has been promoted to senior vice president of sales from the position of vice president of business development. Maucieri's keen awareness of the unique business needs of GPA's customers, coupled with his ability to create tailored programs and significant win-win relationships, has been vital to his steady advancement at GPA for over 21 years. In his new capacity, he is in an even better position to create mutually beneficial solutions for both GPA and its customers.
Mary Ann Geers has been promoted to area vice president for the Central region from the position of territory sales manager. In her new role, she will provide leadership and support to GPA's territory sales managers to help them and GPA reach their goals. Geers brings tremendous skill and industry experience to her new position, 14 of which she spent at GPA working closely with customers helping match their needs.
Gilbert M. Chavez has been promoted to the position of vice president of operations from his previous role as director of merchandising and customer support. In this new role, Chavez will provide direction for GPA's purchasing, merchandising, warehouse, production center and customer support departments, and help ensure that GPA continues to provide superior products and service. He has been with GPA for 13 years, and brings over 20 years of logistics and management expertise to his new role.
