CHICAGO—September 28, 2015—Harris & Bruno International (H&B) announced that GRAPH EXPO 15 was a success with even more printers and OEMs seeking the high-quality coating delivered by the ExcelCoat series of offline/in-line coaters for UV and AQ.
“With additional ExcelCoats in the worldwide market every year, word is spreading to printers and press manufacturers that ExcelCoat offers advanced coating capabilities with automation and high throughput,” said Scott Michels, Harris & Bruno vice president of sales and marketing. “It was a pleasure to meet with many of our partners and develop new partnerships at GRAPH EXPO this year.”
Showcased with live demonstrations in H&B’s GRAPH EXPO 15 booth was an ExcelCoat ZR30 with the features of a Corona Treatment Unit and Duplexer. The Corona unit eases wettability for primers/coatings over substrates and ink traditionally difficult for adhesion.
The Duplexer flips sheets in-line for seamless duplex coating or to prepare prints for the next downstream finishing process. ExcelCoat’s chamber/anilox metering system is the preferred method for applying AQ, soft touch, matte, and other coatings with particulates.
The show machine was purchased by Cedar Graphics out of Hiawatha, Iowa. Cedar Graphics is looking forward to ExcelCoat complimenting its digital variable data capabilities through allowing the business to apply a wide variety of coatings to short runs offline.
