Graphco Celebrates 40 Years, Opens Technology Center in Cleveland to Showcase RMGT Presses
CLEVELAND — May 18, 2016 — Starting this summer, commercial, packaging and in-plant printing companies from around the U.S. will be able to experience the latest in offset, digital and print finishing technology at Graphco's new WD Manley Technology Center located here. Named for Graphco's founder Bill Manley, this 7,000-square-foot expansion to Graphco's headquarters will showcase a full line-up of RMGT (Ryobi MHI Graphic Technology) offset presses, along with other key technology from industry leaders like Standard Horizon, CRON, Xitron, Inpro Special Cutters, MGI, Alwan Color and many other Graphco provided products.
"Bill always believed that an informed consumer was our best customer and this new facility will allow us to demonstrate RMGT presses in configurations ranging up to 10-color perfectors in the same facility as our industry leading pre-press and finishing solutions," remarks Chris Manley, president of Graphco. "The new WD Manley Technology Center and our strong growth are really a testament to Bill's vision when he founded Graphco 40 years ago."
The first suite of high technology equipment to find its home at the WD Manley Technology Center will include RMGT's flagship six-color 9 series with coater press featuring Panasonic G3 LED-UV curing, RMGT's highly productive Smart RPC simultaneous plate changing, SMART Insta.Color automated makeready technology and full 16,000sph throughput. This press will also be equipped with the highly productive and cost-saving Pamarco Sentinel Ink Management System.
Joining the RMGT 9 series press will be a complete CTP system from CRON ECRM driven by a Xitron Sierra workflow and full color management provided by Alwan Color Management Suite. Print finishing solutions from industry leaders like Standard Horizon, Graphic Wizard and Inpro Special Cutters will allow Graphco customers to better understand the tremendous efficiencies available using today's finishing technology. Graphco's dedicated digital showroom will showcase products from MGI and OKI Data to round out the full customer experience.
“Our goal is to make each customer visit much like attending a major trade show, but with a focus that addresses their individual requirements for improved quality, productivity and throughput,” states Derek Gordon, Midwest Regional Manager for Graphco. “This dynamic new Technology Center continues our Commit to Print theme and we are excited to begin live demonstrations in mid-summer.”
While the WD Manley Technology Center will be open for individual customer presentations in late June, a Grand Opening event will be held during July to celebrate Graphco’s 40th anniversary and the formal opening of this new facility.
