CLEVELAND — April 27, 2016 – The Dutch manufacturer of specialized large-format cutters, Inpro Silkscreen Solutions, is pleased to announce the appointment of Graphco as the exclusive U.S. distributor for the entire line of Inpro large-format special cutters and large-format sheeting solutions. Graphco will provide access to the Inpro Rhino and Jumbo series specialized large-format cutters which range in cutting size from 83˝ to 208˝ and are specifically developed for the rigors and challenges of the fast growing large-format digital printing industry.
"The need for specialized cutting in the large-format industry was made clear in discussions we had with several of our offset customers who are also entrenched in the large-format digital printing market," states Chris Manley, president of Graphco. “The fact that two of our customers in the Midwest have already purchased Inpro large-format specialized cutters proves that the demand for high production large-format cutting is real."
Shortly after drupa, Graphco and Inpro will offer affordable roll-to-sheet solutions to help wide-format printers dramatically reduce the cost of substrates and also achieve same-day availability of the correct size substrate so they can maximize productivity and profitability. In addition to the tremendous size advantage Inpro Rhino and Jumbo large-format special cutters offer, the Inpro cutters are ideally suited to cutting materials that are difficult or impossible on a conventional guillotine cutter. Processing large volumes of sandwich board and fluted materials in stacks as high as 3.94” not only clears bottlenecks in POP/POS workflows, but also allows printers investing in the fastest wide-format printing solutions to run their equipment at full capacity.
Renier Höppener, managing director of Inpro, comments, "We are excited to have a well-known and reliable company like Graphco handling this important segment of our business in the United States. These early cutter placements will help us spread our message that high production large-format digital printers need a high production cutting solution.” All sales, technical support and spare parts will be handled from Graphco’s headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio and through its branch office in Schaumburg, Illinois. Several new Inpro large-format specialized cutter installation announcements will be made shortly.
"The market for the Inpro large-format special cutter is vast and we are working rapidly to raise awareness of this high production cutting solution as large-format printers from Inca, Durst, HP, EFI Vutek, and others exceed the 150 board/hr. threshold,” states Manley. "Throughout the market, we see that more than 50 percent of all large-format digital output requires square edge cutting and providing access to these highly productive cutters will help our customers increase their volume and profits.”
The 141˝ size the Inpro Rhino 360 and Jumbo 360 cutters offer the ability to cut and turn an industry standard 60x120˝ board inside the throat of the cutter which improves productivity by 50-60 percent over smaller guillotine cutters. The unique Inpro SharpEdge cut technology provides clean edges on many substrates that would otherwise require router cutting. A full array of productivity enhancing materials and handling solutions specifically geared to large-format production will further increase productivity to round out the Inpro large-format special cutter line-up.
