GOA Joins Forces with Three Events
ORLANDO, FL—Perhaps the slogan for the 36th annual Graphics of the Americas (GOA) trade show should be "Come Together," for the venerable Florida event will join forces with three other organizations when it takes flight Feb. 24-26 at the Orange County Convention Center here.
Co-locating with GOA next month are FESPA Americas, the Solutions Event and the cre8 conference. According to George Ryan, GOA president, the convergence of events was orchestrated to expand its offering to a greater audience in the global print market.
GOA is known as one of the graphic communications industry's largest annual combined expositions. The annual exposition attracts 10,000 printers, designers and creative professionals from North America, Central America, South America and the Caribbean.
GOA will also provide attendees access to more than 80 educational sessions at the 2011 show, including comprehensive technical and management training to keep them informed regarding new strategies and best practices when reaching out to emerging markets, cultivating new prospects and deepening relationships with current customers.
Session tracks at GOA 2011 include: digital printing; prepress/production; wide-format; management; sales and marketing; finishing/fulfillment; special presentations; illustration and design; Photoshop; and Acrobat/PDF.
Among the exhibitors on hand are Enfocus, HP, EFI, INX Digital, Mutoh, Ricoh and Presstek.
A brief glimpse at the GOA newcomers:
• FESPA Americas is geared toward the latest technologies in wide-format, sign and garment printing, along with fine art.
• The Solutions Event, powered by ISS, brings together buyers, suppliers, manufacturers and industry leaders to explore screen printing, embroidery, graphic design and digital printing of clothing.
• The crē8 conference from AGI returns for 2011, offering seminars for creative, design and marketing communications professionals of all skill levels.
