In October of 2006, the PIA/GATF and Printing Impressions magazine conducted a survey with over 400 magazine readers. The survey revealed that 50% of the respondents were already using Web-to-Print solutions including branded customer storefronts, production portals (26%) and digital storefronts (18%). In addition, 41% of the respondents plan to build their solutions from scratch, rather than purchase software or use a hosted site. The survey also goes on to say that 63% of the respondents said that their Web-to-Print solution increased the volume of work coming into their plant, over a third improved their profitability and 22% cited better cash flow.
