FREMONT, Calif.—October 1, 2015—EFI has announced that Roseville, Michigan-based Graphics East is integrating its entire business and production operations with EFI’s Midmarket Productivity Suite of advanced software. The new software investment addresses productivity and management needs across all key functions at Graphics East. From job submission to job fulfillment and final billing, the company’s workflow IT investment will streamline operations to handle higher volumes of short-run digital print jobs while giving company managers the data they need to make informed, accurate decisions. The company also will be able to provide its customers with superior service while streamlining operations in a way that helps reduce day-to-day costs.
With EFI Pace software as the core MIS technology in the Midmarket Productivity Suite, Graphics East will be able to centrally manage a complete end-to-end workflow, including Web-to-print ordering. Graphics East will also integrate EFI Fiery digital front end systems for cut-sheet digital and VUTEk superwide-format inkjet printing, giving the company even more power to efficiently handle its growing digital printing operations.
Once the system is installed later this year, Graphics East will have the state-of-the-art efficiencies needed to continue driving growth while improving its ability to meet or exceed deadlines.
“The EFI Productivity Suite, including the Pace and Digital StoreFront Web-to-print components, not only will help manage our current traditional, digital, and web assets with greater efficiency, it will also help put us in the driver’s seat for the constant changing evolutions in the print industry,” said Clinton Easthope, vice president, Graphics East.
The company currently uses other workflow technologies to ticket, schedule and track jobs. But the present workflow does not automate business and production processes to the degree needed to accommodate the rise in job volume seen with the company’s sales growth in digital print.
The Midmarket Productivity Suite, on the other hand, “delivers out-of-the-box, end-to-end optimization, reducing the number of touches jobs have when progressing through the plant,” according to Gabriel Matsliach, senior vice president and general manager, EFI Productivity Software.
“Graphics East,” Matsliach added, “will gain a distinct competitive edge with an advanced business and production workflow that will improve efficiency and time to market while enabling new digital print business.”
The Midmarket Productivity Suite connects the award-winning EFI Pace MIS software with a variety of options across 17 certified, out-of-the-box workflows for integrated Web-to-print, marketing automation, planning, imposition, scheduling, shop floor data collection, fulfillment and shipping management. Printing and packaging professionals across the globe rely on EFI’s portfolio of workflow products to manage their businesses and become more streamlined, efficient, informed and profitable.
