MISSION VIEJO, Calif. — August 4, 2017 — The Sir Speedy, PIP and Signal Graphics Annual Convention and Vendor Show was recently held at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, Calif., July 26-29. The event kicked off with a welcome reception at the Hyatt Regency Long Beach and concluded with an awards dinner at the convention center where the Sir Speedy and PIP franchisees of the year were announced.
The PIP Franchisee of the Year award went to the McNaught Family of Sacramento and Elk Grove, California. The Sir Speedy Franchisee of the Year went to Michael & Rita LeVangie and Laurence & Anna Nye of Orlando, Fla. Many other awards were presented to franchisees during the convention including the Top 25, Top 10, Volume Increase Percentage (VIP), Century Club, and Million Dollar. Salesperson awards were also presented to top salespeople in the Sir Speedy and PIP networks.

A highlight of the annual event is the Vendor Show, which is the largest U.S.-based tradeshow in the graphics communications industry. A record number of booths and vendor partners were present this year to showcase their products and services. Exhibiting companies included Canon, Exact Data, Grimco, HP, Konica Minolta, Signs365, Xerox and others. For the fifth year in a row, Ricoh was the signature sponsor.

Guest keynote speakers included Kate Dunn, Director at InfoTrends, who shared research and industry best practices for hiring and managing salespeople. Bryan Flanagan, sales trainer and author, inspired the audience on how to create a high-performance sales culture. President and COO, Richard Lowe provided an industry update and shared critical success factors for growth. Kelly Kimberlin, Vice President of Business Development, hosted a panel of experts showcasing new products and services. David Robidoux, Vice President of Marketing, presented many new marketing resources and programs for helping franchisees best promote their businesses.
