GSP, a provider of end-to-end retail services and solutions, announced growth plans for its Lenexa, Kansas-based, full-service print production facility, Custom Color which GSP acquired in February 2020.
GSP’s multiple production facilities operate 24/7 and are strategically located across the country enabling the retail service provider to shorten transit times and reduce freight costs.
“Investing in additional equipment and enhancements at our Kansas facility, as well as tapping into local talent to support these upgrades, further elevates our capabilities and reduces lead times to meet our retail clients’ print production demands,” explained GSP VP of Operations Elaine Scrima.
Over the past few months GSP has expanded its Lenexa location’s digital printing, fulfillment, finishing and warehousing facility. Equipment updates include new Agfa Jeti Tauro H3300 - a hybrid UV LED wide-format inkjet printer, a Fotoba XLD 170 - high performance fully automatic cutter, as well as additional guillotine, die-cutting and specialty finishing equipment.
Fulfillment and warehousing enhancements include customized fulfillment racks for store-specific retail graphics programs, an expanded warehouse to support retail graphics and merchandising programs, and custom-designed packaging equipment. The company plans to hire a total of 90 employees by the end of this year to support these expanded capabilities.
“Maximizing our capabilities with innovative, state-of-the-art technology at our Kansas location leverages our print production, fulfillment and warehousing services, and solutions as well as geographically align with our clients to improve transit times,” added Elaine.
