Heidelberg at drupa 2008 – Using Cutting-edge Technology to Deliver Added Value
HEIDELBERG, GERMANY—January 22, 2008—Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) will be demonstrating its technological and innovative skills and the resulting customer benefits at the international drupa 2008 trade show (Dusseldorf, May 29 – June 11). The world market leader will be showcasing solutions for packaging and commercial printing in sheetfed offset in two exhibition halls covering around 7,800 square meters. These include its outstanding Anicolor inking unit technology, the Prinect printshop workflow, and countless other “HEI Lights”, with the Speedmaster XL 162 receiving its world premiere.
In Hall 1 (commercial printing) and Hall 2 (packaging printing), Heidelberg will be presenting its comprehensive portfolio of solutions for the entire sheetfed offset process in six areas. The exhibition area is divided into Anicolor, Prinect Integration, One Pass Productivity, Solutions for the A2 and A3 Formats (Hall 1), Special Applications & Large Format, and Integrated Packaging Production (Hall 2).
This year’s presentation at drupa is part of the new, global “HEI Tech” campaign. This plays on the “Heidelberg” company name and draws on core values and features from the Heidelberg range of products and services.
HEI Performance – the basis for HEI Value
The “HEI Performance” and “HEI Value” concepts will extend throughout the Heidelberg portfolio of solutions, with “HEI Performance” promising premium performance in speed, reliability, and print quality and “HEI Value” delivering added value through wide-ranging process optimization, high productivity, and thus higher margins. This will give customers and visitors practical and informative insight into the link between technological advantages and the financial benefits flowing from these.
“Information and Business Centers” and “HEI Tech Centers” serve as central contact points in both exhibition halls
At the “Information and Business Centers” in each hall, visitors can check out the company’s range of offerings for Systemservice, Saphira consumables, financing solutions, remarketed machines, the Print Media Academy, and business consulting.
With business consulting, for example, Heidelberg offers business management advice that goes well beyond printing. Based on a personalized analysis of the customer’s situation, experts will not only develop an investment plan but will also be sharing their market know-how with customers seeking advice.
The “HEI Tech Centers” can be found in all areas of Halls 1 and 2 and will provide a base for Heidelberg experts to offer in-depth guidance on relevant solutions.
Experience Passion for Print live
In collaboration with Adidas, around 80 real-life print products, such as advertising posters, autograph cards, product and service brochures, and packaging products, will be processed live in prepress, then printed and finished – all on Heidelberg products. Customers can learn about the extensive options for highly cost-effective print production and coating. Print buyers can find out about the versatility and efficiency offered by the medium of print. Heidelberg is offering special HEI Light tours that can be booked on the Internet before the trade show or at the booth. All applications at the trade show are certified to FSC (Forest Stewardship Council).
Integrated communication campaign supports customers before, during, and after the trade show
Heidelberg is accompanying its trade show presentation with an integrated communication campaign. The company kicked off the new “HEI” advertising campaign last summer. In the run-up to drupa, a multi-stage mailing will prepare existing and potential new customers for the trade show presentation. A specially designed website(www.drupa-heidelberg.com) will also offer a whole host of details about the event. Heidelberg will provide students, trainees, and teachers with information at the “HEI School” next to Halls 1 and 2 in the exhibition grounds.
