Heidelberg Announces Several Recent Press and Postpress Equipment Installations
KENNESAW, GA—April 1, 2015—Heidelberg has announced four new installations. Prystup Packaging in Livingston, AL, has made a move into the large-format offset world with the installation of a six-color Speedmaster XL 145 press with extended delivery and aqueous coater. The small, independent packaging printer is pleased with the speed, quality and "excellent productivity" of the new press, which "just eats up folding carton work," according to Vice President of Manufacturing Jason Guin.
Chatsworth, CA-based Execuprint recently added an EFI H1625 hybrid LE UV digital inkjet printer, supplied by Heidelberg. "The market for commercially printed products is well-saturated," said Vice President of Sales and Marketing Michael Ferag. "We see digital wide format as an exciting opportunity with attractive growth potential for our business."
Wallace Graphics of Stone Mountain, GA, has reported the installation of a fast, flexible Stahlfolder TH-82 professional folder with gatefold attachment from Heidelberg.
BPI Media Group in Boaz, AL, loves the speed and accuracy of its new Stahlfolder BH modular buckle-plate folder from Heidelberg. Installed in January to handle an increase in commercial folding volume, the new folder "has far outstripped our expectations," relayed Vice President and Co-owner Steve Davis.
Montréal-based IML Labels recently installed a Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 106 with CutStar sheeter, and an XL 106 DD offline rotary diecutting machine in its new Aurora, IL, facility. Donald Caron, the company's vice president, commented, "It was an obvious choice to go with Heidelberg again, given our success with the XL 106 DD we installed in our Montreal plant three years ago."
