Heidelberg Shows Digital Portfolio at Recent Open House at its Print Media Center
KENNESAW, Ga.—November 23, 2015—Heidelberg hosted over 40 customers to display its expanding digital portfolio at a recent open house held at Print Media Center Atlanta. The open house gave customers a deeper understanding of how Heidelberg’s digital solutions can maximize their profitability while increasing their applications and optimizing their productivity.
Highlights included the new Linoprint CV and CP digital printing systems alongside the new Prinect Digital Front End (DFE), which offers the ability to centrally manage jobs in a single workflow and the Prinect Color Toolbox, giving the ability to seamlessly match digitally printed pieces to offset color.
"We see digital as a part of the complementary mix in our customers print portfolio," said Andy Rae, senior vice president, equipment. "Quality is a given across all platforms within the Heidelberg brand. It all comes down to cost per sheet. Customers were able to view our emerging digital portfolio and recognize our technologies as the most cost effective choice for their business."
More than Just Machines
"I feel that Heidelberg has positioned themselves well by not directing a client to digital or offset but rather, neutrally looking for what fits their needs best," noted John Hearn, owner of Phillips Printing. "Digital has been sold for a long time by digital only providers and consequently they have pushed it in situations where it was not the best solution. Heidelberg is continuing to strive to be a partner, not just a vendor, which is where they need to be."
Jeff James, president, James Litho, also added, "Heidelberg, in general, is always impressive. It was great to come and see the equipment, understand what Heidelberg is bringing to the market and how it could potentially impact our business in the future. I think they put on a great presentation explaining the technology, ROI and cost justification for their new equipment."
The Path to Success
The open house is the latest in a series of events designed to provide integrated customer solutions through specialized 1:1 engagement. Those in attendance witnessed live equipment and workflow demonstrations, engaging technology presentations and informative Q&A sessions.
