Heidelberg Kicks Off Digital Roadshow in CA
SACRAMENTO, CA—Nearly 150 area printers, graphic artists and print buyers attended Heidelberg's first 2003 Digital Roadshow here recently to learn about variable data applications and on-demand printing.
"The success of our road shows, this year and last, demonstrate the increasing demand for variable data printing and the growing importance of the digital printing community," explains Vahaaj Khan, director of digital product management.
Digital Logistix, whose services include the production and distribution of technical publications, training manuals and direct mail programs, is one of those growing Heidelberg customers. The company has two Heidelberg NexPress color digital presses and seven Digimaster black-and-white digital presses running three shifts year round.
"The Heidelberg Digital Roadshows offer an opportunity for our customers to gain hands-on experience and view demonstrations on producing digital applications," says Richard Sand, business development manager. "Our specialists teach them techniques on how to create innovative products using variable data and cutting-edge machinery by some of the industry's leading professionals."
The roadshow includes two sessions that reach the broad spectrum of audiences involved in digital printing. The morning session includes instruction and information for graphic artists, commercial printers and print brokers, while the afternoon session is exclusively held for government printers, print buyers and corporate in-plant operators.
Future Heidelberg Digital Roadshow dates are currently being scheduled and will soon be available on Heidelberg's Website at www.heidelberg.com.
